1. Who we are

SMS Route BD (the “Service”) is a pay-as-you-go SMS sending platform operated for users in Bangladesh. You can reach us at our support team.

2. What data we collect

  • Account info: your email address and full name from Google sign-in.
  • Device fingerprint: an anonymous identifier generated from your browser + device, used only for fraud prevention.
  • Sending data: recipient phone numbers and message contents you submit, plus delivery status.
  • Payment metadata: bKash or Nagad wallet number, payment method, and transaction ID you submit when buying credits. We do not handle card data.
  • Basic logs: timestamps, IP, and user agent on key actions.

3. Why we collect it

We use this data to provide the service (sending SMS, billing your credits, showing your history), to prevent abuse and fraud (especially around free credits and referrals), to provide customer support, and to comply with legal requests.

4. Device fingerprinting (detailed disclosure)

By creating an account, you explicitly consent to anonymous device fingerprint collection. We use the open-source library FingerprintJS (free tier) to generate a stable identifier from your browser and device characteristics.

What is collected to compute the fingerprint:

  • Browser user agent, language, and installed fonts
  • Screen resolution, color depth, and timezone
  • Canvas, WebGL, and audio rendering signatures
  • Hardware concurrency and platform identifiers

What we do NOT do:

  • We do not use the fingerprint for advertising
  • We do not track you across other websites
  • We do not sell or share the fingerprint with third parties
  • We do not link the fingerprint to any external identity database

The fingerprint is used solely to detect duplicate accounts created to abuse the free-credits system, and to protect honest users from fraud. You may request deletion of your fingerprint along with your account at any time by emailing support.

5. How we share data

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
  • Our SMS gateway providers, to actually deliver the messages you send.
  • Our infrastructure provider (database and hosting).
  • Authorities, when required by Bangladeshi law.

6. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. SMS history is kept for up to 24 months. You can request account and data deletion at any time by emailing support.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Email our support team and we'll action it within 7 days.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page; continued use after the update means you accept the revised policy.
